At Wood Bank we pride ourselves on celebrating the incredible talents that our children have to offer. Our singing & signing choir regularly perform at various events as well as our junior dance group. For the past few years we have joined Ravenscliffe and Highbury school to put on performances at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax in front of up to 1000 people. Our latest Concert was 'Rio.' This event generates a lot of publicity and showcases the talents from all three special schools.

The choir and dance group have also performed at Calder High School as part of their lessons for life curriculum. We also joined with mainstream primary schools from the Upper Valley Cluster to perform in a 'Summer Extravaganza'. A main drama production of the year is our Christmas Nativity, in which we have recently introduced speaking parts for children; including vocal and use of switches. Children in Kestrel class take part in weekly drama lessons focusing on speaking confidently, voice projection and stage presence. They then perform for other classes within school.
